As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing remote server support for customers across the UK.
Liaising with customers via the telephone, you will troubleshoot any hardware issues and provide crucial support for Windows based platforms. You will resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner and provide a first class level of service at all times.
- Windows operating systems, including XP, Vista, Windows 7 and 8
- Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
- SBS Server 2003 and 2008
- Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010
The ideal 2nd Line Support Engineer will have an MCP, MCSA, MCITP or MCSE qualification; however this is by no means essential. Knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, DNS, DHCP, internet line printers, backups, antivirus programs and spam and spyware prevention would also be beneficial to your application.
