Job Description

· Applies basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks in one of the following areas: combustion/performance/emissions, cool/lube/fuel systems, air handling, system integration, after treatment integration, cycle simulation, vehicle system simulation, combustion system simulation, flow simulation, filtration, or after treatment simulation 

· Applies engineering and/or scientific skills to technical processes with support from experienced team 

· Participates as a team member, helps define/refine methods 

· Carries out engineering responsibilities using accepted methods and practical experience 

· Continues to develop capability to create engineering solutions through training and experience 


Engineering degree with strong knowledge in the area of thermodynamics and chemistry 

· Is able to coordinate Engine and Aftertreatment testing on and troubleshoot faults when they occur 

· Has some experience on Diesel Engine/Aftertreatment Calibration 

· Provides input in the development of On Board Diagnostic tuning 

· Knowledge in the fundamentals of thermal and fluid sciences, and/or physical chemistry 

· Good communication skills 

· System analysis skills to be able to investigate aftertreatment performance characteristics 

· System modelling and optimisation skills to tune control algorithms and calibration methods 

· knowledge of Matlab and Simulink is a preferred
