The purpose of this role is to manage the performance analysis of the airport’s infrastructure, systems and processes. The role holder will manage the analysis of facilities and operations to determine how best to define and improve levels of service, enhance operations, accommodate demand and best serve the needs of the airport and our stakeholders. The role holder will identify areas of operational or service failure and work with stakeholders to understand root cause and develop solutions to remedy these.
Utilisation of a suite of simulation tools for the purpose of working with stakeholders to drive operational resilience, optimise utilisation of existing infrastructure and systems and enhance process. Ensure that tools retain data integrity at all times.
Responsible for providing current operational performance data to the Operational Research team to enable a robust capacity declaration to be developed. The role holder will also feed in to the Operational Research team and the master plan process as a key information input and provide support to analyse wider issues.
Leadership of in season and coming scheduling season impact analysis of SP2020 on the current operation. Through detailed analysis ensure that development programmes are scheduled such that operational resilience is maintained, but that expedient delivery is promoted.

Analyse the impact of changes in supply and/or demand to available and upcoming (current and next IATA season) capacity.
Identify capacity and/or efficiency bottlenecks and suggest mitigating actions to improve the throughput from the available facilities, systems and processes.
Analyse the impact of enhancements (e.g. new technology) or restrictions (e.g. new regulations) on capacity.
Utilise a suite of tools and data which model the airport environment and enable an in depth understanding of the drivers of performance and resilience. Ensure that these are maintained and that there is operational integrity of data at all times, and in the case of 3rd party data, that models and planning assumptions used by entities during analysis are consistent.
Supply operational performance data to Operational Research to enable a robust capacity declaration to be developed.
Ensure tools can accurately simulate changes in demand, capacity and process.
Measurement, Reporting and Improvement
Responsible for devising and implementing a methodology for measuring and reporting airport related performance to the business (queues, delays, etc).
Establish systems and processes to enable a common focus by all airport stakeholders on punctuality, process efficiency and quality and continuous improvement.
Continually review and analyse the core airport processes and work with stakeholders to improve the efficiency of the airport facilities to ensure commercial objectives are met.
Operational Resilience and Service Level Development
Work with stakeholders to develop the service proposition for Dubai Airports to feed into capacity planning and master planning processes.
Business Focus Area Support
Provide expert analysis and information to the Operational Resilience and Service Delivery BFAs to ensure robust objectives and targets are set for the business to deliver improved logistics related operational and service performance.
Management and Team Development
Coaching, motivating and developing Airport Performance analysts.
Setting team and individual objectives, providing continual constructive feedback for the development of the individual/team.

Qualifications and Education:
Qualified to degree level with post graduate and/or professional qualification preferably in a numerical subject.
At least 6 to 8 years’ experience in a research or planning role, with a significant amount of that time in the aviation sector. Demonstrable experience in developing and using simulation and/or planning tools. Proven project management skills. Proven experience in stakeholder management, especially at senior level. Strong influencing skills. Proven ability to communicate data and information in a manner that is readily understood by a wide audience of varied experience.
