Job Description

To Review and conduct in-depth analysis of Credit Risk Proposals for new & existing customers received from REFD unit and conduct detailed due diligence for appropriate level of authority covering all the aspects of risk related to the proposed and existing facilities for each customer/counter party in order to ensure compliance  with the Bank’s Credit Policy.


Prepare Credit Assessment sheets for all credit proposals received from the business units (New financing, waivers, deferrals, renewals and facilities to be rescheduled, etc.).

Ensure that terms/conditions and securities/collaterals are measurable, relevant to the credit/ market practice and achievable.

Prepare due diligence analysis report (DDR) for all credit proposals to be submitted and presented to the approval authorities.

Conduct joint visits to key customers with the RMs/Unit head as and when required.

Assist the unit head in on-going credit policies review and updating.  

Highlight issues if any and suggest ways to resolve the same in coordination with business units, credit operations, credit administration & legal department.

Conduct market check/research and provide feedback to the Unit Head on the market conditions which affect the portfolio.

Monitor the existing portfolio through monthly report covering exception report, utilization, past dues and repayment on regular basis with business unit, legal and sharia ’a department to ensure the compliance of policies/guidelines and Central Bank regulations.

Confirm customers risk grades and where necessary suggest changes in risk grade based on customers and project performance/annual review & interim financial results changes in the real estate market environment & management

Review all applications related to commercial real estate finance for amendments of RE facilities and approval.


Minimum 4 - 5 year working experience with in Credit Risk Management

Successful candidate should hold a Bachelor degree with major in Finance, Business Management or Accounting

Should be flexible possessing excellent communication & problem solving skills

Ideal candidate should have knowledge about Union Laws of UAE, Shari’ah financing products, UAE Central Banks Rules and Regulations, Commercial Law & International Accounting Standards.

Excellence in analyzing and assessing the Credit Proposals related to commercial real estate finance activity of real estate business emanating from REFD i.e. Musharkah, Morabaha, Ijarah, Istisnaa & Mudarabah.
