Assist in the management and administration of authorised credit and transactional risk limits for various group of fund relationships including regulated mutual funds, pension funds, trusts, endowments, etc.
Support the development of transaction solutions proposed by managers (including structuring, amount and term) and provide assistance in the preparation of transaction requests.
Maintains relationships with RBC Capital Markets sales and trading professionals and counterparties to ensure client needs are met on a timely basis including addressing credit requirements as necessary.
Ensure all limit systems are properly recording all approvals and help in the preparation of timely management information reports as required
Timely preparation of transaction requests in support of RBC Capital Markets credit intensive trading activities with global asset managers on behalf of the funds they manage
Understand and assess client investment strategies from a risk perspective
Annual reviews of trading counterparties (incl regulated mutual funds, pension funds, trusts, endowments, etc).
Maintenance and accuracy of trading limit data with CCMS and all RBC Capital Market limit systems
Participate in KYC process
Completion of assigned projects and other duties in an efficient and effective manner that supports business initiatives
Maintain a strong understanding of RBFG trading policies and guidelines
Initiate and maintain contact with trading professionals, Group Risk Management, Global Middle Office and RBC Law Group
Understand and assist in negotiating supporting trading documentation including ISDA, PSA and IFEMA
Understanding and knowledge of fund industry and securities regulations governing funds
Familiarity and basic understanding of RBC trading products including FX, swaps and securities finance
Knowledgeable of the RBC global network and capabilities and understanding of and ability to interpret RBC credit processes, standing orders and credit policies
Understanding of trading documentation
Advanced data and computer management skills including proficiency with Excel
Self starter with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to establish priorities and manage tasks with accompanying attention to detail
Ability to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using strong verbal and written skills
Problem solving skills.
Minimum: Honours, B.A. or B. Comm.
