Job Description

Reporting to a Consultant or Senior Consultant, the Associate’s primary role is to provide administrative support to the immigration team to enable client facing staff to focus on serving the needs of their clients.


Effective and clear communication and development of strong working relationships with members of the immigration team, members of other EY service lines, geographies andsupport functions and with client representatives (if required)

Preparing Engagement Agreements, PowerPoint presentations, standard emails and other documentation as instructed

Inputting information and expiration dates for applicants' status into EY’s tracking system and bringing expiry reports and renewal reminders to the attention of the appropriate senior staff

Research and liaison with government authorities and development and maintenance of strong working relationships with contacts in the different jurisdictions and free zones within the UAE

Assist with compiling metrics/reports as required

Assist team to ensure that time is appropriately reversed once engagement codes are set up

Liaise closely with the Finance team and provide support in all billing matters – running off financial reports, invoice drafting and submission, following up on receivables

Set up/close client files and maintain filing in accordance with agreed protocols

Ensure adherence to EY’s internal quality and risk management procedures and help prepare risk and independence assessments for client engagements

Organise meetings and booking conference rooms

Contribute to and ensure maintenance of the team’s contact lists, precedents and proprietary material

Plan and proactively manage workload ensuring that urgent work is prioritised, deadlines are met and work is technically accurate, clear, concise and error free

Liaise with colleagues and managers to proactively escalate problems and potential issues

Contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff

Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

Take advantage of the available education and learning experiences to ensure that personal and technical skills are developed on an ongoing basis


Experience of working in a client facing professional services environment.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

Undergraduate university degree, college diploma, or equivalent

1-2 years administrative experience, ideally in a client facing professional services environment

Must be proactive, highly organized, have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally and to manage own workload

Excellent English language skills, written and verbal

Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Strong attention to detail

UAE immigration experience desirable but not essential
