Main responsibilities Staff Supervision Ensure that the wages budget for ba kery staff is not exceeded. Organise the staff rotas and holidays for the bakery staff. Be responsible for all bakery staff, and resolve any staff issues appropriately. Oversee the training of all new bakery staff Food Production Ensure the production of a consistently high standard of food prepared in the bakery. Develop new products for sale in our farm shop and farm shop restaurant. Deliver accurate costing and labeling when developing new products Purchasing Control the ordering of all bakery ingredients and packaging, ensuring that the budgeted cost of sales for the bakery is met Ensure that outstanding orders are monitored and pursued Ensure that returns to suppliers are monitored and that respective credits are received Stock Control Oversee stock counting for the bakery. Oversee the recording and monitoring of all wastage from the bakery
Bakery Managers are responsible for managing department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards. They must follow the Company sales and production planning standards and will ensure that the bakery department achieves the standards of performance as outlined in the work plan. They will plan and order according to work plan and standards to maximize sales and gross profit. Bakery Managers will ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
- Must be at least 18+ years of age.
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass Physical Test.
- Must have at least 2 years experience in bakery department operations.
