Job Description
Reporting to the Bancassurance Marketing Manager, The role holder will be responsible for Insurance Business Growth in the Branches within the region.
Responsibilities
Take responsibility for Business performance and delivery of set targets for insurance business in the region by providing effective leadership, motivation, marketing support and technical assistance
Oversee annual planning as well as preparation and implementation of Insurance marketing strategy for the region
Work closely with branch managers in the region to grow the insurance business in their region
Liaise with Head Office on Business Challenges that require direction, guidance or intervention
To ensure consistent strict adherence to the laid down policies and procedures of conducting insurance business in the region
Working closely with the Insurance Trainer, co-ordinate Insurance training in the region to enhance internal knowledge and increase consumer awareness on insurance products
Ensuring consistent achievement of Key Performance Indicators by the whole insurance team in the region
Arrange regional meetings and invite Head Office to support the region towards the growth of insurance business
Identify business opportunities particularly in the SME Sector and develop business relationships through continued interaction with the customers and ensuring effective customer service. retain existing relationships
Leverage key marketing initiatives being undertaken by the Bank in the region working closely with branch management teams to spot opportunities for insurance business and convert them to Insurance customers
Requirements
A university degree from a recognized institution preferably specializing in Insurance, Actuarial Science or business management
AIIK Diploma or progress towards attainment of Professional Qualification ACII
At least 5 years’ experience in insurance marketing or relationship management in the Insurance industry, with good understanding of motor and non-motor insurance products
Knowledge of Life Insurance products will be an added advantage
Proven Track record in achieving set insurance sales targets
Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills and persuasive skills
Excellent communication skills and Customer service skills
Excellent presentation, report writing, negotiation and problem Solving Skills
High self Initiative, drive and great passion for results
Should have good IT skills with experience in the use of Microsoft office
Ability to work independently, offer mentorship and guidance to the Regional Team
Ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners
Ability to interact with clients of diverse business backgrounds
High integrity and honesty
Keen to detail with Strong Analytical Skills
Ability to identify opportunities, establish facts and provide workable solutions
