Job Description

The position of Business Analyst brings daily challenges and responsibilities aimed at trouble shooting problems and providing solutions via intensive computer based research and analysis. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant parties. The Business Analyst would be a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of the organization and therein recommend solutions that enable the organization attain its objectives.


Strategy: Develop strategy to implement operational objectives by studying current business functions; gathering information and evaluating current trends.

Business Model Analysis: The Business Analyst would investigate the fundamentals of our business venture with the end aim of identifying opportunities, market analysis, competitive analysis and profitability.

Business Process Improvement: Improve processes by studying current practices; designing or recommending modifications and implementing new methods. Identifying existing problems and provide improved procedures. The Business Analyst is responsible for investigating and analyzing business activities to make them more efficient using a variety of financial and IT tools.

New Business: The Business Analyst would work closely with management in the definition and introduction of new business or product lines. They would carry out feasibility studies, business case development and put together business models and plans.

Project Management: Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports and recommending alternate courses of action if need be.

Customer Analysis: In-depth understanding and presentation of customer needs in relation to the performance of the business and the provision of competitive commercial solutions. Evaluating and presenting customer research, market conditions and competitor data.

Management Reporting: The Business Analyst is tasked with management reporting for the organization. He/she is to track all business unit related performance matrices and periodically report them to management for prompt and efficient decision making.



  • 3-5 years’ work experience
  • First degree in the sciences or social sciences
  • MBA would be an added advantage
