Job Description

The Business Development manager is in the AT&R / Airlines CBT/ Honeywell Aerospace Trading team. Honeywell Aerospace Trading is in the business of supplying used/recertified parts to the Aerospace Aftermarket. 

Honeywell Aerospace Trading seeks to become the premier supplier of used Honeywell equipment as we are uniquely positioned to procure, refurbish and sell Honeywell equipment at competitive prices. Honeywell’s portfolio of products represents a dynamic growth potential in the AT&R, B&GA and D&S businesses in the coming years. 


  • The organization is split into procurement, sales and business management. This position will be tasked with obtaining significant annual growth for the D&S trading portfolio
  • Creating and developing new opportunities to grow our business globally from $7M to $40M over the next 5 years
  • Establish strategic relationships with D&S customers, MRO’s and Partners
  • Working with business leadership to manage projects and deliver growth
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Work with the leaders and sales team to develop new business relationships, and generate new opportunities outside of the established markets
  • Create links with each of the business groups and business units to develop new leads and build on existing opportunities
  • Develop a strategy to maintain and expand key relationships with targeted customers and potential sources of supply
  • Present Honeywell Aerospace Trading to potential new customers via direct communication including meetings, phone and email
  • Responsible for establishing growth product lines and supporting the building of new business to enable growth
  • Creating and presenting reports to senior level business management on progress
  • Achieve improved sales targets year over year via enhanced strategies


  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of aerospace industry experience, specifically aerospace aftermarket and D&S customer knowledge and expertise
  • Proven track record of successful sales management and meeting growth targets
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects
  • MBA preferred
  • Aerospace product, industry, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution/channel, sales, marketing knowledge and experience
  • Proven experience in problem identification, analysis and solution development utilizing Six Sigma analytic tools and processes
  • Track record of strategic leadership, creating and achieving a desired state through influence on company values, individual and group goals, reinforcements and systems
  • Broad based knowledge of the Honeywell Product portfolio, products & services
  • Ability to lead, mentor and develop personnel
  • Organizational knowledge and political savvy, ability to communicate effectively across the organization and to high- level customers
  • Ability to develop/ foster strong customer & supplier relationships
