∙ To provide leadership to MasterCard MEA regional employees and work in strong partnership with other groups within the Information Security function and MasterCard Technologies Group. This role will oversee all key regional information security initiatives, projects, acquisitions, and mergers and provide advisory solutions to the region.
∙ The role holder will represent the Global Information Security function in day to day relationships with business owners in the region with respect to architectural issues and key implementation projects in the domain.
∙ He / she will be required to manage the Information Security function in MasterCard MEA leveraging resources in all Information Security departments globally. This includes education, influencing behaviors and actions for positive business and information security outcomes.
∙ Security Due Diligence (SDD) - Coordinate with US based SDD team to ensure adequate coverage for regional promotions, partnerships, and projects.
∙ Project Support – Spearhead any new initiatives from a security perspective and provide initial analysis and estimates during project analysis or initiation. Ensure engagement of proper product personnel in any project and provide liaison services throughout the entire project life cycle
∙ Outsourcing Vendor Support – Oversee all aspects of Information Security as it relates to MasterCard’s chosen outsource provider. Additionally, participate in the evaluation of any new outsource providers.
∙ Security Compliance – Provide regional support for key compliance initiatives such as Clear Desk Compliance Walk-thru, Sensitive Data Protection, and Web Filtering.
∙ Local Security Operations Support – Provide a local liaison with the regional teams to address any security access related issues. This will include, but is not limited to, access requests, terminations, transfers, access validation, and policy exception requests.
∙ Preparation and submission of data security reporting to the CBR
∙ Control with MEA data security requirements compliance by MC and its personnel
∙ Elaboration of requirements to technical and organizational means of data protection and control over their applications
∙ Participation in data security incidents investigation
∙ Participation in technical assessment of information infrastructure development and subsequent control over data security requirements compliance
∙ Interaction with the CBR, FSB and other controlling authorities
∙ Drafting internal policy and standards of MasterCard MEA related to data security, personal data protection and business continuity
∙ Oversight of MEA personal data protection requirements compliance by MC and its personnel
∙ Education of the MC personal related to personal data protection requirements compliance
∙ Personal data complaints and other applications handling
∙ All MasterCard Technologies SBLs and Group Heads
∙ MasterCard Technologies Emerging Technologies teams
∙ Business owners at SBL and Group Head level
Desired Experience and Skills:
∙ Policy and Compliance knowledge and capability to communicate these to internal teams
∙ Written and Oral communication skills with strong fluency in regional language as well as English
∙ Relationship Management / Customer Relationship with Senior Management in the region including Presidents, Group Heads and Executives as well as Country Management teams
∙ People Manager capabilities that will be useful in managing working relationships with internal clients
∙ Major project implementation experiences will be useful
∙ Global experience with remote / matrix management
∙ Independent / proven decision maker
∙ Occasional travel within region and to Purchase, NY headquarters
∙ Bachelors Degree or 5 – 8 year years relevant work experience
∙ ∙ Industry Certificates: CISA, CISSP and related information security certifications for industry level accreditation for the role function in the MasterCard MEA region.
