Job Description

  • Key resource management contact for technical staff.  Having a good knowledge and understanding of the skills and abilities of the team and being able to find practical solutions to staffing requests from the management group.
  • Having good oversight of the work planned for the whole team and proactively challenging inefficient or inappropriate scheduling. 
  • Helping engage consultants on client work, managing requests for non-client facing projects and working with Partners, Directors, team leaders & technical resource managers to deal with resourcing conflicts.  
  • Finding practical solutions to staff shortages by shuffling resources around and challenging individual requirements.
  • Having an awareness of pipeline across the business internally and via the resourcing network
  • Utilising internal resourcing networks to ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ resource capacity to other parts of the business when possible in order to maximise utilisation.
  • Producing and maintaining various ad hoc and regular management information reports.  Interpreting and acting on results.  
  • Amalgamating and validating a number of different weekly reports into one management information pack for the Business Unit Manager.
  • Overseeing aspects of the new joiner process including management of the pre-joiner process. 
  • Processing staff who will be leaving and ensuring they comply with the internal leaver process. 
  • Updating HR databases. 
  • Other administrative and operational duties as required.  
  • Key contact for all client handlers, dealing with a variety of operational and support queries.  Having a thorough understanding of all other business processes to redirect queries. 
  • Overseeing operational processes, taking ownership, and making improvements where applicable. Working with the Business Unit Manager & Senior Manager on process improvement and implementation. 
  • Involved in undertaking ad hoc projects as required such as leading the roll out of new initiatives, systems and processes.

  Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferably educated to degree standard or at least A-level standard with GCSE grade C in Maths and English
  • An operational, HR or resourcing background
  • Ideally has experience of working in a professional services environment
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office
