Job Description

•Forge collaborative relationships with business partners and technical counterparts with the Drilling and Completions, Sub-surface and Exploration functions to understand project demands and market requirements within given category / area of responsibility.

•Drive given categories for the business in Aberdeen in close cooperation with business partners and functions.

•Lead or participate in strategic sourcing processes including but not limited to:

1.Demand and market analysis

2.Supplier pre qualifications

3.Development of overall and specific contract and procurement strategies

4.Development of tender packages and lead/coordinate complete tender processes

5.Vendor evaluation, negotiation and contract award
6.Drive and perform Contract Administration / Supplier Relationship Management

7.Advise internal clients on procurement issues

8.Coordinate / expedite goods and services as required

9.Apply and assure compliance with Client governing C&P processes



•+15 years work experience preferably in an E&P Operator environment 

•RICS / CIPS membership preferred.

•Experienced in strategic sourcing and C&P processes

•Experienced in supporting large scale / high value drilling and wells activities in the UKCS

•Solid experience of UK legislative environment and contractual agreements

•Demonstrable ability to forge strong stakeholder relationships – internal & external

•Ability to work in a dynamic working environment
Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):

•MAXIMO experience including Requisition to Pay models advantageous

•Strong sense of integrity and impeccable ethics are mandatory

•A commercial mind and an analytical approach are important

•Excellent communication skills, including negotiation, is essential

•Strong team player

•Proactive and solutions focused in overcoming challenges

•Performance driven

•The ability to work flexibly and handling multiple priorities is important
