Job Description

The Manager Career Development is responsible for designing and delivering career development programmes and providing information and assistance in developing Emirati employees. This includes administering and facilitating career development and training interventions to UAE Nationals and line managers throughout the organisation. Equally the role will establish, monitor and maintain a network of mentors that will provide expertise on job assistance and coaching to Emiratis within the line area.


  • Administer, interpret and feedback results from a range of psychometric assessments
  • Design and deliver appropriate assessment processes and interventions including work samples, interview questions, simulations and ability tests
  • Conduct needs analysis for Emiratis to determine development needs and appropriate strategies and interventions to address needs
  • Partner with the business to construct realistic development plans and monitor progress against these
  • Provide line managers with effective on-the-job training support for developing Emiratis so they can continually improve their performance
  • Build and manage close relationships with all line managers and HR Business Partners so that UAE nationals are developed and placed in roles corresponding with their skills and also the needs of the line department
  • Act in a consultant role to assist line managers and HR Business Partners to develop and manage UAE nationals development plans that enable appropriate job placements, training, development and rotations to take place in a timely manner
  • Provide specialist advice, information and assistance on career development interventions and implementation of personal development plans to all Emirati employees and as needed
  • Provide one-to-one career coaching to graduates and employees and assist in career planning and in creating and facilitating career paths
  • Facilitate the transfer and continuous follow up for UAE nationals finishing their graduate development programmes and being placed in permanent roles in their respective departments
  • Deliver development workshops on topics and skills that support success, personal and organisational development and performance improvement to line managers and employees
  • Manage EY mentorship programme for respective division and provide training, assistance and advice to mentors and mentees


  • Degree level education with acquired specialization in human resources, occupational psychology, career counselling & coaching or related qualification Level A & B occupational testing qualification (BPS)
  • Post holder must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of a range of psychometric assessment tools gained over a period of not less than 3 years, with a proven track of success in talent development, succession management, coaching and mentoring
  • Extensive knowledge of higher education qualification programs both within UAE and externally
  • Excellent interviewing skills
