Job Description

Job Summary

The Commercial and Marketing Executive is responsible for developing the turnover of assigned brands throughout the region, based on pre-defined objectives and budgets. She/he is involved in all aspects of marketing and media from planning, advertising, promotions, public, media relations, product development and research.


Main Responsibilities


  • Commercial
    • Conduct market visits in the region in order to keep all parties informed of key trade and competitor developments
    • Prepare the yearly budget (internal) and by season according to the previous season sell out
    • Enter all the related orders in the system
    • Develop country specific strategies and plans dependant on local market place and the competitive environment
    • Liaise with the supplier / client / 3d for any boutique / shop ‘n’ shop or identified corner opening
    • Assess monthly the P&L per brand/country insuring profitability
    • Ensure that all agents achieve their monthly and annual budgets
    • Follow up closely all clients’ accounts in terms of ordering, budgets, stock and retail pricing
    • Solve all problems related to the commercial, logistic and marketing side of the assigned brands (goods to be returned, quality problems, payments…)
    • Follow up the sales versus targets, versus budget
    • Follow up with the account all the outstanding commissions
    • Follow up consultants’ performance, incentives, and bonuses in every country
    • Follow up of credit collection and overdue invoices settlement
    • Approach new clients, seek new accounts and quote special enquiries to ensure dynamic growth of the brands
    • Check and maintain high quality merchandising of all outlets and study the market condition, competition and opportunities
    • Negotiate of current and new proposed point of sales in terms of location, profitability, exposure and market share
    • Present the new products and collections to customers



  • Marketing
    • Prepare the yearly marketing plan (media, below the line activity, training, ..) according to the available budget 
    • Follow up of the marketing expenses according to the initial budget /plan
    • Ensure correct implementation of all global and regional Marketing strategies (promotion activities, Media plans, events...) as well as Merchandising guide lines across each country
    • Follow-up on production, deliveries and implementation of all Point Of Sales Materials (POSM) and sampling tools provided (testers, tester stands, personalized towers, Gifts With Purchase (GWP), brochures etc…)
    • Assist in the distribution, pricing and promotional strategies in coordination with the Marketing team and the Management
    • Assist in building marketing plan/ calendar for the different chains/ brands/ markets in close co-operation with the Department Manager and the brand’s marketing departments
    • Handle the marketing plan forecast and the marketing plan orders
    • Follow up closely on the plans’ implementation, schedule and activities  in all concerned markets
    • Plan and follow-up on promotions
    • Organise, attend events, and exhibitions
    • Secure sponsorship to assist with the publicity and funding of marketing projects
    • Carry out local market research, customer survey, assessing customer demands, brand positioning, monitor competitors activities, and evaluating market campaigns.




  • Advertising and Promotional activities
    • Define the media and PR plan by briefing the advertising agency
    • Manage the various marketing budgets to organize corporate above the line and below the line promotional / advertising activities and corporate items purchase
    • Splitting the media investments by product line and by media support to respect the brand’s media strategy and the total budget initially set by the Department Manager
    • Coordinate with advertising agencies and clients on media plans 
    • Prepare monthly updated report of expenses
    • Liaise with the different department (regional marketing team, Euro RSCG Promo pub) to build the latter
    • Prepare monthly management report comparing the budget versus the stock



  • Reporting                                                                                                                                                                                                
    • Define a tracking sheet ‘’check-list’’ to be fulfilled and followed up at each visit with the shop manager
    • Issue a consolidation report of qualitative info per brand /per supplier /per country
    •  Issue a monthly sales report  per country/ agent and commercial line, in order to evaluate and analyse strategies and position of the brand
    • Create and update a ‘’Products Catalogue’’ for the best seller
    • Issue an ‘’Activity report‘’ for the supplier
    • Issue a bi-annual detailed report after each season (positive & negative points, achievement vs. budget) including the feedback of the clients
