Job Description

Incumbents are to advise the Company Staff Members about their legal rights and duties. They must therefore have knowledge in accounting, tax laws, securities law, zoning laws, licensing, bankruptcy and contract law to effectively do their job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice on corporate, financial, contractual, regulatory and civil issues.

- Monitoring emerging issues & changes in the legislative & regulatory environment

- Identifying & advising in relation to business process & policy & make appropriate recommendations

- Attending variety of management meetings as needed

- Managing and overseeing the organization's relations external parties like insurance companies

- Other reasonable/developmental tasks as directed

Qualifications and Requirements:

- LL.B, B.L

- Fluent English ( writing and speaking )

- At least 5 years post qualification experience in law, ideally gained in a major law firm

- Experience in providing strategic advice to senior management on technical issues and legal matters

- Detailed knowledge of Law as relates to the Corporate World

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
