Your role will be to manage a portion of the ELT backlist, taking responsibility for ensuring appropriate levels of stock are held in the right place at the right time, and replenished to optimal levels based on good demand planning.
This will include analysing stock levels, historical sales and forecast sales in order to recommend reprint and new book quantities for approval on a title by title basis, liaising closely with sales, editorial, customer service and inventory management colleagues in the UK and other Press stockholding branches worldwide.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of project management, working with spreadsheets and databases, processing and analysing high volumes of data, and also be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of SAP and Cognos would be advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
You need to be a highly motivated individual, able to prioritise a busy workload and make independent decisions. Attention to detail is critical to the role, and you should possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
