Job Summary:

The Corporate Communications Manager will play a key role in the creation of the Company's Corporate Communications function and act as a key change agent working in partnership with other team members and Company business units to enhance the company’s image among key internal and external stakeholder groups, and to drive behavioral changes that support the company’s core business objectives.

Duties and Responsiblities:

* Responsible for developing and implementing all internal and select external communications strategies to ensure that leadership messages are aligned, timely and effectively distributed on a global basis.

* Delivering recurring key news to all employees, including industry commentary, policy changes and organizational changes.

* Responsible for implementing internal and external crisis communications

* Responsible for the overall corporate communication strategy, planning, budgeting and program implementation to help promote corporate initiatives, individual business units, corporate events, and all internal and external communications

* Responsible for the internal corporate communication functions, including the writing and editing of communication that support the offices of the Managing Director and COO, global and regional business updates and initiatives, and key HR initiatives and projects while ensuring timely delivery of consistent and quality messages

* Collaborating with HR business partners and other key Company business Directors and Managers who are subject matter experts to gather information and then develop appropriate content

* Editing communication material on two levels: (1) copy editing (using skills that ensure consistency and accuracy regarding grammar, punctuation, syntax, etc.); and (2) substantive editing, requiring critical sense and intuitive evaluation of factual accuracy and consistency of information – brand consistency, chronology of events, overall consistency of subject matter; verification of facts, rearrangement or deletion of material, analysis of data, and evaluation of material as to accuracy and thoroughness

* Supporting corporate communication work streams from initial meetings and concept development through writing, review, revision, production, distribution and evaluation

* Management of the HR page of the corporate intranet site. This includes the writing and editing of content; the review of postings for accuracy and appropriateness; general page maintenance and the upload of content.

Education and Qualifications:

* Bachelors and Masters’ degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field. (The Masters Degree Qualification can be waived for Applicants with over 10 years of cognate experience of which 3 years is in a similar position)

* Minimum of 7-10 years of public relations or corporate communications experience in a lead or number two role in a PR, Marketing, Branding or Advertising Industry.

* Must be able to use resources from marketing, product and technology, internally and externally to work cross-functionally in the organization to deliver programs in a timely, deadline-driven manner

* Strong oral and written communications’ skills

* Strong cross-functional relationships with internal partners at all levels

* Ability to position strategic messages in the context of different audience groups and purposes

* Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple projects, as role requires strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail

* Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Publisher, Visio)

* Experience using web-based survey tools

* Experience using web content management tools and portal frameworks a plus (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook)

* Experience using Adobe and Corel Draw applications is a plus

* Excellent understanding of the front and back-end of the social media websites and ability to actively create a social environment through content, technology and online and offline partnerships.
