Reporting to the Group Senior Director of Education, this post will be responsible for the development of strategic curriculum plans that supports GEMS entry into new markets and identifies the strategies and operations required to ensure that all curricula offerings are fit for purpose in new markets.
The successful candidate will work with ‘in country’ experts to ensure local national curricula, offered in GEMS schools meets and exceeds MoE requirements. The chosen candidate will constantly fuel the search for curriculum innovation and work with CAOs in all regions to ensure GEMS curricula developments are at the forefront of best practice.

§ Develop medium to long term action plans that will create appropriate curricula models in line with the objectives of GEMS strategy for growth.
§ Ensure that curricula models identify suitable staffing structures and staffing plans to deliver the curriculum efficiently and effectively.
§ Coordinate due diligence and feasibility research to identify local to country, curriculum advisers and experts.
§ Lead presentations to the Group COO, Education Senior Exec Head of Legal and CFO and other senior directors, to gain approval for agreements with MoE personnel or advisers.
§ Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
§ Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
§ Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
This role would ideally suit an educationally astute leader who has a minimum of fifteen years in education. A proven track record of developing and leading curricula innovation and development is a key requirement. A commercial background and/or understanding is an advantage.
You should hold an MA or professional qualification from a reputed institution with an extensive network of contacts within the education sector.
