Save the Children UK has made enormous progress in the last few years, dramatically increasing our work to improve children's lives in some of the toughest places in the world, at home and abroad.
However we know we can do more and have set out a clear plan to radically increase our impact through innovative partnerships, increasing supporters and proven sector leading programmes. Technology and Data has a leading role in enabling Save the Children to reach these goals.
Save the Children UK is a diverse organisation with approximately 1000 UK staff, based out of London and 5 regional offices. We work collaboratively with Save the Children International, our overseas programme delivery mechanism who is also London based.
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and leading a team of approximately 40 with a £5m + budget, the Director of Information Systems will implement our future data and technology vision and strategy through improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness, and supporting the delivery of our ambitious targets.
The role will continue to align the IS department with business objectives and ensure our business critical systems are supported by technologies that run effectively and efficiently. It will deliver strategic technology support to the organisation including brokering value added technology partnerships.
We see the successful candidate bringing to the role a strong customer focus, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You’ll have delivered major projects, across a wide spectrum of business requirements, with solid practical experience of information systems and extracting strategic value out of information and data.
We are particularly keen to hear from those looking to transfer their experience from the commercial sector or similar.
In return we offer a sector leading salary, with an organisation committed to driving forward technology to improve the lives of millions of children in the UK and overseas.
