Job Description

  • Well Planning/Design as well Completion design
  • Assist the Drilling Superintendent in the Supervision of wellsite drilling engineering operations
  • Review of all well planning, well design and drilling operations
  • through to the entire composite production system completion and topside/flow
  • programmes
  • Independent review of drilling programme well proposals and related matters
  • Supervision of rig operations complete with the coordination of service teams
  • Data Acquisition/coordination and Data management
  • Establishment of best practices standards and schedules based on
  • rigorous risk assessment for the Start-Up, planning and close-up of new project
  • Liaison with appropriate regulatory authorities including DPR.
    • Budget Management: keeping track of current daily costs, comparing actual costs with expenditure proposals and recommending cost-effective changes;
  • Drilling Operations Contract Management
  • Any other duties as may be defined by the client
  • liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluids;
  • monitoring safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well;
  • adhering to environmental protection standards, in some cases through direct discussion with local governments to ensure compliance with legislative requirements;
  • working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling;
  • returning the site to its natural environmental setting if drilling is not to be pursued.
