Job Description

Cambridge University Press has a number of exciting opportunities available for ELT professionals to join its global and growing ELT Adult publishing team.

 We are looking for Managing Editors to oversee the development of a range of products including online, mobile apps and books. You will be responsible for the editing and project management of complex projects and will play a leading role in conducting market research, specifying projects and commissioning digital and print components. The role may include line management. We need people with solid ELT publishing backgrounds who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills, creativity and the ability to innovate in a rapidly changing publishing environment.

 We are also looking for Development Editors and Senior Development Editors to work on print, online and blended learning general adult courses and supplementary materials. You will be helping to shape the content of our market leading materials. You will need a good understanding of what makes effective classroom and self-study material and an interest in using technology for education. You should have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience, ideally with some experience of blended learning. You will have excellent communication, organisational and people skills, as well as a high level of self-reliance. For the Senior Development Editor posts, we are looking for at least two years of ELT editorial experience and a proven ability to work effectively on complex and demanding publishing projects.
