We are seeking to fill following position;


Results Expected to achieve

  • All servers at the head Officer and branches must be up and running at all times
  • A reliable and secure connection is maintained between Head Office and all branches
  • Efficient management of IT request
  • All server rooms are well maintained in accordance with IT Operations Manual for Access Banks
  • Auto-scheduling of the UPS to support Business activities from 7am to 7pm at the branch
  • Phone Availability is Established at all branches to adequately support the business
  • The cameras must be 24/7 surveillance and playback should be guaranteed on demand
  • Physical and Logical Access Controls to the IT environment are put in place


Necessary Experience and Knowledge

  • Degree in information technology or business information technology or comparable qualification
  • Cognate IT Certifications will be added advantage
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in an operational IT role as an administrator
  • Evidence of sound experience in

v Server administration (modern MS Windows server (hardware, operation system, MS Office, network connections) patch management, scripting, user administration

v MS SQL server administration

v Exchange Server Administration

v Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory Network environment, DNS and DHCP

v Backup and recovery procedures (sql-database server, operating systems)

v IT Security tools and methods (firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP)

v Problem solving, analytical and process oriented

  • Ability to take responsibility, work on own initiative, manage a team
  • Willingness to travel to bank branches throughout the country for installation and administration of server

Desired Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience in

v IT operations in a services company, preferred in the field of banking

v IT project work

v Selecting providers and negotiating contracts

v Windows batch scripting and Linux server administration

v Knowledge in operation an T24 environment is an advantage

  • Evidence of

v Openness to learning new technologies and methodologies

v Steering providers

  • Flexibility and operational readiness
