Monitor and track the overall effectiveness the Safety Program. Create and modify to ensure we comply with state and federal regulations. Review current ergonomic practices and create plans to minimize injuries. Remain current with regulatory requirements and serve as a central resource for the company. Conduct injury and accident trend analysis and make recommendations for improvement. Administer a return to work program. Create and monitor safety metrics for all incidents. Establish a root cause investigation process as part of the post incident follow up process. Conduct facility audits for behavioral and facility compliance, with action plans for improvement. Conduct a detailed job safety analysis, in order to identify at risk behaviors and create awareness plans to avoid injuries. Implement use of behavior based safety observations, to include he possible use of incentives. Create an environment where safety awareness and education become a part of the culture of the organization. This can be accomplished by setting up new approaches towards safety awareness such as the creation and use of mascots, slogans, promotional materials, Lean Based safety, safety fairs, poster programs, etc. Develop employee wellness programs and increase health education. Build and manage a budget for the Health and Safety Program.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Certified Safety Professional certificate is an added advantage.
At least 3 years experience in a safety organization.
