Job Description

The Events Manager will be responsible for the total event service process and project management of events with capacity up to 4500 guests


  • Coordinates with the Sales Centre, Business Development Managers, relevant Hotel Departments and the customers as delegated to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all department heads are informed of significant groups
  • Conduct in-house site inspection in relation with Group Sales Managers or/and Business Development Managers
  • Meet with clients to work out the details of their functions
  • Suggestively sell menus which meet the client’s needs
  • Liaises with the Execute Chef to plan special requests for clients and special event menus and arrange introductions between the client and Chef
  • Attend designated meetings, menu tasting
  • Check function room set ups prior to guest arrival, ensuring all details are in agreement with client’s requirements and hotel standards
  • Monitor and handle guest complaints by following the instant satisfaction procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Adhere to all Accounting policies regarding payment
  • Contact clients after scheduled functions to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit re-bookings
  • Support the C&E Director by providing forecasts, reports, guidelines and budget information
  • In charge of all Arabic communication in writing for the department
  • Requirements

    • High school diploma or higher education
    • Experience in Event Management (preferably Hotel related) for at least 2 years
    • Working with different computer software  and microsoft office packages
    • Working in a customer service driven environment  
    • Open to work Flexible Working Hours (Early/Late/Night Shifts)
    • Good communication & written skills (English& Arabic)
