The EA provides executive assistant to the EVP. The position incumbent reports to the EVP and is responsible for ensuring that the MD meets up his itinerary.
*Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative and be proactive
*Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
*Highly developed business and political astuteness gained from extensive experience of effectively working within a political environment and private sector with a clear understanding of company, officer and member roles
* Provide a professional Executive service to the Executive Vice President
*Ensure the EVP is briefed on all meetings, collating relevant papers and materials and maintaining an effective bring forward system.
* Plan, organize and co-ordinate functions and special events for the EVP.
*Provide a confidential, professional and knowledgeable service for the EVP, highly discreet and used to working with highly sensitive and confidential information
*Understand the key corporate decisions, strategies and policies in order to understand and fully support the EVP and Company Executive Directors priorities and give advice and information as required.
*Assist with the preparation of business presentations including text, overheads and electronic presentations.
*Have a sound knowledge of the business and be the first point of contact for all verbal, written and telephone calls into the EVP’s Office.
*Deal with correspondence on behalf of the EVP
*Strong time management skills
*Able to work to a demanding schedule and delivery deadlines and report at a senior level. Managing conflicting deadlines and being able to negotiate when deadlines conflict.
* A Bachelor’s degree in Law or International Relations
* Member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Nigeria (ICSAN) is an advantage
*Minimum of 3-5 years cognate experience in a similar role in a FMCG
