Job Description

Job Purpose:

The receptionist is a key role in a company and represents the outward face with clients, suppliers, staff and the general public.

The principal function of this position is:

Provision of reception services and general Facilities Operations support.


The priorities of this role include:

  • Handling a busy switchboard.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the Dubai office.
  • Preparation of reports and documents in Excel worksheets / MS Word.
  • Management of car parking for visitors, visiting staff, staff and its database.
  • Manage and track documents for courier.
  • Management of the booking of Dubai office conference rooms.
  • Management of catering for meetings.
  • Management of office access for visitors.
  • Maintaining a contacts database.
  • Management of company mailbox.
  • Liaison with other Halcrow offices.
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility:

  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows environment required.
  • Pleasant personality, good mannered.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Experienced in the operation of a switchboard and telephone system.
  • Experienced in admin support works.

  • Minimum qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree Qualified.
  • At least 3 – 5 years in a similar position.
  • Training in reception activities / customer service is a preference.
