Job Description

Job Summary:

Incumbents assist in maintaining financial controls with respect to the Company. They assist in monitoring daily liquidity and other key regulatory ratios.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining financial controls: By daily identifying control issues such as undefined balances, unposted entries, balance sheet imbalances, manual entries posted etc. and raising queries with relevant department for resolution of these issues.

• Monitoring Key Ratios: By calculating key ratios such as liquidity etc and monitoring these against the limits set. By ensuring that exceptions, if any, are brought to the attention of Accounting Manager. By preparing the daily MI pack within which all ratio calculations and key control exceptions are included.

• Surprise balancing exercise: By ensuring that the appropriate reports and information required for the suspense account surprise balancing exercise are compiled within the stipulated timelines.

• Internal Control Standards: To maintain Company's internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by both internal and external auditors/regulators.

• To assist in clearing up daily exceptions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills as the role requires significant interaction with other team members and various departments.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

• Ensuring compliance with relevant requirement and Company procedures

• Ensuring Continuous implementation of internal and external audit recommendations in timely and effective manner.


• The job requires a highly skilled finance professional with thorough knowledge and experience in financial control and monitoring procedures.

•The jobholders will be required to work independently without supervision and maintain regular liaison with different functions of the Accounts Department as well and the Executive/Top Management team.

•The jobholder will need to be highly proficient with numbers and be able to work with complex numbers within exceedingly tight reporting requirements.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• A thorough understanding of Accounting and Finance.

• HND or Bachelors Degree in a related field

• At least five years experience.

• Professional Accounting Training, Certification or Qualification preferred.
