Job Description

Fully Responsible for management reporting, budgeting and forecasting and accounting for expenses for MEA. Be a key partner to the functional teams, set-up a review and challenge process for key expense units and play an integral role in supporting, tracking, management and reporting of key initiatives.

Responsibilities

•Ensures that Finance is closely integrated with, and positively supports the business; provides managers at all levels with necessary information to maximize profitability and efficiency; works with management team to develop and implement short and medium term strategic and tactical plans and provide the requisite financial inputs
•Assumes full responsibility for core financial processes, namely financial reporting, analysis, control, planning and budgeting, support business strategies and monitoring delivery against objectives
•Liaison with IMK Finance and Corporate Finance to understand the Corporate reporting calendar and processes and set-up a process for timely and efficient performance of Finance function 
•Liaison with Outsource Service Providers managing the Accounts Payable function to understand expenses and query resolution
•Provide finance support in the expansion of the business e.g, opening of new offices, new products
•Lead pro-actively on Projects relating to improving finance infrastructure or reengineer existing financial systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and meet local requirements.
•Foreign exchange exposure quantification and hedging process.
•Understanding of MasterCard processes, Oracle systems, and how various sub-modules or financial systems integrate within MasterCard. •Specialist knowledge in Financial Reporting 
•Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to capture the essence of key insights across the market opportunities
•Broad based commercial awareness to manage risk versus return trade-offs
•Develop an understanding of the drivers impacting MasterCard’s business. 

Innovation:
•Support continuous reviews of existing processes to assess operational efficiency and development and implementation of process improvements to ensure that processes meet the present and anticipated needs of internal customers, members, and other stakeholders

Communication & Impact & Influence:
•Influences and negotiates with the respective market business unit managers who may have divergent objectives in relation to their respective P&L. This involves challenging their assumptions to direct and shape their business plans to deliver on targets and to implement disciplined approach on forecasting of targets.
•Develops and maintains effective corporate governance to prevent fraud and financial misstatements, including proper procedures and checks and balances, system of values, best practices and accountability. 

Experience/Education: 
•Relevant qualification in business, accounting and/or a related discipline; 
•6-8 years of financial experience, qualified CPA or equivalent
•Process minded with a good understanding of reporting, forecasting and budgeting techniques; 
•Results oriented and performance driven with a focus on excellence; 
•Strong relationship management and networking skills; 
•Broad understanding of all the different areas of finance; 
•Strong strategic thinking and business understanding;
•Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills; 
•Experience working in cross functional teams;

Characteristics:
•High intellect with good commercial feeling and a creative approach to problem solving;
•Good influencing skills; must be able to communicate and present to the management team; must also be persuasive with a considerate but firm touch;
