The candidate shall report directly to an Executive Director, and have the following rersponsibilities:
Day to day management and direction of the company’s finance department.
Ensuring that relevant financial reports are up to date and are presented on time to management.
Liasing with banks, vendors and all regulatory bodies and ensuring that the company is up to date with statutory requirements.
Supervision of preparation of necessary accounting books and reconciliation.
Perform other finance functions within the purview of a Finance Manager.
The candidate who should be between the ages of 35 and 50 years, must possess a First degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline from a reputable institution, plus a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
Possession of an MBA is desirable but not essential.
The candidate must have worked in the finance department of a building construction and/or contracting company for more than 5 years after qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
The candidate must show demonstrable ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Accounting Softwares and be conversant with the principles and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards
