Job Description

  • Working with the UK&I learning team to ensure that UK FS tax receives the technical training it requires.
  • Working with the EMEIA tax team to ensure that UK FSO tax attends appropriate courses.
  • Working with the network of EMEIA FSO tax contacts to ensure that there is a joined up approach to learning across the different countries.
  • Helping with the budget setting process across EMEIA.
  • Maintaining a central repository of learning materials.
  • Assisting with the logistical elements, for example date setting, venue hire, instructor management, of courses run by the UK FSO tax team.
  • Liaison with external suppliers to arrange venues, printing and, for certain courses, flights.
  • Participant management for courses. This includes:
  • Issuing joining instructions
  • Closely monitoring participant swaps, cancellations, no shows and re-bookings
  • Dealing with participants varied queries and issues
  • Assisting with instructor and participant visa requests for EMEIA/ international courses where relevant .
  • Attending venues for certain courses first thing in the morning to ensure set up is correct and deal with logistical issues on behalf of the instructors.
  • Assisting with on-site registration and administration for certain large-scale events such as Conferences.
  • Processing training-related invoices.
  • Processing attendance records to assist with monitoring of completion of training and updating of Continuing Professional Development records.
  • Other L&D administrative tasks which may arise on an ad hoc basis.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, including the ability to plan ahead and multitask
  • Ability to anticipate issues and problem solve
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals, both internally and externally
  • Solid Excel skills a must but advanced Excel skills are desirable
  • A specific interest in training is desirable
