Job Description

  • Responsible for the effective management of assigned Operational Unit.
  • Ensure fleet is maintained.
  • Review fleet requirements  and communicate relevant findings to the Technical Manager, Special Projects team. 
  • Review fleet budgetary requirements and ensure that operating costs are kept within company financial projections, review objectives and maintain KPI’s as dictated by business drivers. 
  • Conduct and manage the requirements of any current project relevant to the fleet.
  • Conduct Monthly Fleet review and submit report to the General Manager Operations Liaise with and ensure a good standard of communication is maintained with all Departments.
  • Conduct regular operational meetings with clients, thus promoting and developing a high standard of client relations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with managements.
  • Ensure all trucks are operating effectively within company requirements.
  • Oversee activities and appraise performance of Operations Superintendents in relevant Operational Unit.
  • Any other duties that are appropriate to the position and as deemed necessary by the Company.

  • Ensure all trucks are operating effectively within company requirements.
  • Oversee activities and appraise performance of Operations Superintendents in relevant Operational Unit.
  • Any other duties that are appropriate to the position and as deemed necessary by the Company.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this position, a candidate must have a good first degree or HND in Transport Planning and Management or Engineering related disciplines, from a reputable University or Polytechnic.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years cognate experience in the management and maintenance of petroleum tanker trucks, 5 of which must be at management level.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Mack vision brand of trucks.
  • Have a firm knowledge of the current road networks, conditions, and distances across Nigeria.
  • Should be familiar with the bridging of petroleum products, the intricacies of the Petroleum Equalization Fund (PEF) Administration and its documentation.
  • Should have verifiable evidence of having successfully run a fleet for at least 5 years. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics CITL) would be an added advantage.
