As a Food Technologist, you apply scientific and engineering principles in research, development, production technology, quality control, packaging, processing, and utilization of foods.You conduct basic research on new product and development of foods.
Improve quality of foods, such as flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods.
Applicants must have a minimum of B.Sc degree in related field such as Food science/Technology, Food/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Human Nutrition.
Key Skills of Food Technologists:
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Good teamworking abilities as well as being confident, independent workers.
They should also have meticulous attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety. Successful candidates will have strong analytical and numerical skills and a real interest in food production.
