The Global Enterprise Program Architect is an architecture resource that translates business vision and strategy into an effective enterprise program by creating, communicating, and refining architecture insights (requirements, principles, models) that define program/portfolio architectures into enterprise implementation. The goals of the Program Architect are to implement architecture efficiency and consistency into the enterprise via the large transformational programs. They are responsible for delivering architecture views aligned to the business needs at the program level.
The program architect will, together with the Business Architects for the relevant portfolio support the Technology Officer / Service Delivery leads (including CBS) in managing the key business stakeholder relationships and developing an understanding of the business strategy for the portfolio. The Program Architect will define and evangelize the program architecture to all levels of IT and Executive sponsorship. They will ensure that all roles and individuals are aware of key architecture decisions and advise business sponsors on programs architecture. They create and collect architectural descriptions for the elements of the program, ensuring alignment with the ITS strategy and existing Enterprise concepts, and provide architectural insight for the enterprise program, leveraging the EY Enterprise / Domain Architecture framework and components, and execute and improve a light-weight architectural governance model to ensure that architecturally impactful decisions are kept during the course of project implementation.
