Description and Desired Qualifications Gulf of Mexico Initiative (GOMI) Market Sector Leader Careers – Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA or New Orleans, LA

Our Gulf of Mexico Market Leader will directly contribute to the growth of CH2M HILL's Environmental business in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), including the states of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. You will be responsible for keeping abreast of business trends and identifying new opportunities from a wide range of industrial clients identified through various client sectors. You should be a self-motivated environmental consulting executive with a 20+ year work history of technical and client credibility, held in high esteem with current and pursued customers and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental business development project.

Our Gulf of Mexico Initiative Leader will:
  • Position with Industrial clients that will directly lead to significant environmental opportunities within the GOM
  • Identify and appropriately respond to clients' preferred technical, management, and teaming strategies Identify projects and help CH2M HILL best position for these projects through the development and implementation of capture plans
  • Develop, lead, and support account strategies, client engagements, and tactics development to help business growth potential within the GOM market areas
  • Participate with business development teams in contract negotiation planning and execution
  • Maintain and update a strategic plan for growing our environmental business within the Gulf of Mexico across the five states
  • Keep abreast of overall business trends and competitor information within the environmental market in the GOM and competitor information
  • Lead strategic partnering with other firms to help CH2M HILL best position for growth through project opportunities
  • Be responsible for budget management, overall client development, sales, and marketing activities
  • Review, assess, guide, and manage portfolio of sales efforts and drive progress and improvements
  • Identify and attract staff to the various GOM offices through hiring and career development
  • Coordinate with colleagues in other business units and geographies to develop synergistic improvements and opportunities for the enterprise
  • Build, grow and maintain an active list of large and/or strategic new prospects that will ensure the continuous growth of the Environmental Group
  • Guide and lead conference marketing, participation and client interface opportunities
Additional Information: This position will preferably be located in LA, TX, MS, AL or FL.


Basic Qualifications
  • Possess a B.S. Degree or above in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology, Soil Science or related degree
  • Minimum 20 years of experience, primarily within the environmental field, including experience as a business development lead, account manager and/or program manager
  • Proven track record of selling environmental consulting services
  • Strong industry relationships within Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida
