Reporting to Wells H&S Team Lead, the role is accountable for providing HSE support/advice to BP Wells Team members and contractor personnel working in BP’s Dyce office and wells sites.
Advising BP Wells Team members on HSE legal, standard and procedural compliance.
Promoting and coaching staff and contractors on BP HSE expectations and standards. Supporting well site HSE assurance activities by carrying out Tier 2 Well Site Audits.
Coordinating Incident/Near Miss Investigations to BP requirements and participate in investigations as required - assisting relevant parties in preparing quality investigation reports, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Development and implementation of interface documentation; including Combined Operation
Notifications and emergency response plans – including leading/participating in HAZIDs and coordinating other supporting studies.
Arranging emergency exercises to comply with region’s Emergency Response Preparedness
HSE data recording and reporting.
Monitoring and ensuring all HSE actions either within Tr@ction or other tracking systems are satisfactorily closed out.
Liaising with drilling contractor and service providers to ensure that they understand and meet their HSE obligations for the well activities.
Degree and/or Professional HSE qualification, and have or be working towards CMIOSH / CSP or equivalent qualification.

Coach and support the Site HSE&ER Leads to ensure that personnel in area operations understand and comply with OMS.
Manage the local regulatory interface and correspondence.
Assure the asset’s AL-001 programme or equivalent
Provision of support to the Site HSE&ER Leads to ensure systematic approaches to identifying and addressing H&S risks associated with the area operations.
Lead implementation of an annual H&S assurance programme for the area operations.
Lead and actively participate in safety meetings and OMS conformance reviews as required.
Support the line in maintaining H&S risk profiles/register to ensure that workplace/operational hazards are properly documented and controlled.
