Role overviewTo lead VSO’s thinking and innovation in the area of development and volunteering within VSO’s thematic areas of education, health, livelihoods, and participation and governance. Support improvements in programme effectiveness through development of strategies, use of evidence and high quality standards. To lead on programme learning, champion good practice and ensure programme knowledge is shared across VSO. In addition, to contribute to organization growth and visibility as a credible and high impact organization that is based on evidence.
Skills, qualifications and experience requiredYou will have considerable experience in international development including programme development in at least one of VSO’s thematic areas. You will also have demonstrated experience of managing teams, both line management and functional/expert teams in an international matrix organisation. The ability to build strong relationships and be able to influence across the organisation and externally will be key to the success of this role.
