We are recruiting to fill the position of: 


To oversee the Workshop’s day-to-day operating activities ensuring effective and efficient service delivery in line with quality standards.

·         To oversee the sales of automobile parts while providing consistent and qualitative customer service to the customers.

·         To direct, coordinate and plan the parts store.

·         Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee, co-ordinate and ensure smooth day to day running of the operations and processes.

·         Develop high quality, cost effective & integrated process/ operational improvement initiatives.

·         Develop a standard for service quality for the entire unit and ensure strict adherence.

·         Ensure that the parts storage is adequately stocked with the needed material for workshop operations to avoid unnecessary delay and inconvenience.

·         Approve requisitions for parts requirements from the strategic procurement unit in line with its requisition policies.

·         Ensure that all vehicles are properly inspected before delivery to customers.

·         Ensure all vehicles meet the delivery timelines as stipulated to customers otherwise delays should be promptly communicated in line with company policies.

·         Oversee the sales of parts while ensuring sales targets contribute to the overall company’s revenue targets per period.

·         Plan layout of the parts store considering size, weight, and other related factors.

·         Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, and required space.

·         Manage inventory and keep appropriate stock of all incoming and outgoing supplies while ensuring adequate parts in store.

·         Review stock records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.

·         Approve requisitions for parts requirements from the strategic procurement unit in line with its requisition policies.

·         Supervise the counting and sorting of incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices

·         Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.

·         Ensure adequate care and preservation of items received, and stored.

·         Conduct periodic stock count of items in the store.

·         Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

·         Study records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.

·         Ensure all appropriate safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory.

·         Promote the company brand and endeavour to enhance the company’s image through appearance and behaviour.

·         Maintain a good relationship with customer in order to retain them in the company.

·         Address customer complaints; escalate appropriate issues and follow-up with relevant personnel to ensure proper resolution.

·         Devise improvement on the process shortcomings as highlighted in the daily report on technical issues.

·         Conduct quality control review and communicate any improvement or setback to the Chief Operations Officer.

·         Brief the Chief Operations Officer on the improvements of activities/projects of company.

·         Assist to identify and respond to environmental factors impacting the long term strategic direction of the unit.

·         Perform other duties as requested by the Chief Operations Officer.

·         Excellent understanding of workshop operations and management.

·         Knowledgeable in demand forecasting and analysis.

·         In-depth knowledge and understanding of automobile spare parts.

·         Excellent selling skills.

·         Good negotiation skills.

·         Ability to negotiate a win-win offer for both the company and the customers

·         Ability to put the company’s objective in the line of engaging any customer.

·         Knowledgeable in the following key areas:

·         Inventory Control Management

·         Demand forecasting and analysis

·         Excellent numeric skills

·         Knowledge of best practices in stock supervision and keeping

·         Business strategy development and execution

·         Ability to constantly analyse the industry as it relates to the sector and identify current trends, hitherto unnoticed opportunities and operate in line with the strategic goals of the company.

·         Must be discernibly honest and of consistent upright character

·         Must be ethical i.e. must follow the ideals and responsibilities of the industry as set out in the code of ethics guiding operations and operators in the industry.

·         Good appreciation and working knowledge of office productivity tools.

Minimum Qualification

·         A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

·         Male with a Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience.

·         A good working knowledge of automobile workshop operations is an added advantage.
