Job Description

Be responsible for overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes and systems across all segments within Risk
Hold overall responsibility for adherence to Group and country credit policies and process standards
Lead and manage, in supervisory role, all strategic projects for improved process efficiency (including on expenses and LI) and ensure successful implementation of these
Ensure compliance with the Bank’s risk policy and procedures.
Be responsible for defining and examining, and where appropriate, re-engineering key business processes, procedures and systems for Credit
Be responsible for preparation and control of expense deck, capacity plans, LI reports, budgets and other Credit MIS reports with inputs from other in-country risk teams
Handles additional functions assigned/delegated by CCH in his/her absence.


Reporting & MIS
Ensure timely and accurate MIS delivery to various departments and Group office.
Ensure that all reports and analyses are aligned to existing programs, campaigns or any policy changes.
Be responsible for computation of LI, consolidation of loss forecasting with inputs from the segments, obtaining relevant approvals within risk and reporting to Operations/ Finance (as per country process) for passing the relevant GL entries
Manage preparation of Credit MIS reports, review, validate and obtain approvals prior to submission to Group Credit
Supervise preparation, review and submission of expense decks (including forecasting), capacity plans and budgets with inputs from risk segments
Perform monthly check on CDM data quality
Perform monthly reconciliation of TP & GL in terms of ENR and Losses.
Analyze the information gathered for effective portfolio management to mitigate risk and maximize returns; Monitors performance against forecast levels to ensure risk is controlled.
Perform ad-hoc credit analyses/studies to support management decisions on credit strategies & policies.
Devise techniques to improve management information within CB portfolio and liaises with Group Credit to obtain system functionality when required.
QA & Process Reengineering
Overlook and supervise officers in charge of the deployment of checks required in the QA framework
Initiate process improvement/ reengineering and automation activities to limit/ avoid human related errors in existing Credit processes.
Ensure timely execution and approval of KCSAs (only to the extent assigned to the team based on the Group framework).
Manage committees, external audits and regulatory audits (involvement in external or regulatory audits limited to the extent of risk owned data)

 Coordinate relevant (to the extent owned by risk) regulatory reporting requirements by liaising with Finance and other contributors as per existing country practice
Overlook and supervise officers in charge of the deployment of checks required in the OR framework
Ensure full compliance of all policies and processes with global Policy Manual, Product Program, local regulatory and other audit/compliance standards including adherence to anti-money laundering guidelines and addressing required KYC requirements.
Contribute to the effectiveness of the department’s BCP, actively participates in the BCP testing, provides timely feedback on BCP matters, makes self available during contingency situations; fully conversant and knowledgeable of the most updated BCP and able to keep a copy of the departmental call tree readily accessible at place of residence.
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with all H&S policies, guidelines and local laws and regulations. Zero (0) incident or accident, either directly or indirectly caused.
Manages all aspects of Health and Safety within area of control, including but are not limited to:

College graduate of any statistical/ business course.
Has the ability to process, analyze and interpret statistical data and recommend policies based on the result of the information.
Can communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with people at all levels and to work well in a team environment.
Able to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements to produce prompt, reliable information to management for decision-making purposes.
Possesses good technical computer skills.
Experience in banking, finance, audit, quality control and/or assurance.
