Job Description

Delivery of required range of HSSE support services to the OTS (N) Ltd organisation at the NLNG Facility, Bonny Island, Nigeria.

The successful candidate will be required to work to a rotational pattern which is yet tbc on our Bonny Island Site in Nigeria, Africa during employment the candidate will be required to ensure:

    Provision of day to day HSSE advice and support,

    Development and implementation of HSSE Plans

    Responsible for instructing members of the present HS&E department in their alignment to the Wood Group PSN management system

    Conduct training and review national staff understanding on incident investigations and root cause analysis,

    Develop national staff ability to prepare and communicate the monthly HSE report and monthly figures for input to CAIRS

    Support, mentor and develop national HSSE advisor(s) in safety awareness and observation around the workplace

    Provide instruction on the appropriate provision of safety data to client and WGPSN.

    Lead HSSE implementation during project

    Support LERP procedure implementation

    Review fitness HS&E department for fitness and propose training and changes to staffing to meet client’s and OTS (N) Ltd needs.


 Application of WGPSN HS&E management systems

Incident investigation.

Procedure development & review.

Root cause analysis.

Audit process

Hazard management process

Understanding of security issues pertaining to Nigeria..

Understanding of HSS&E cultural differences within Nigeria.

Extensive experience as HSS&E advisor preferred.
