Work with business & IT stakeholders to understand information needs and to implement and maintain solutions / processes / ways of working that ensure high integrity, highly trustworthy information is available at all times.
Undertakes information requirements analyses, applying tools and methods to identify requirements of users, their characteristics and tasks, and the technical, organisational and physical environment in which the product or system will operate
Creates an appropriate network of functional & IT stakeholders to create effectives ways of working
Contributes to the creation and maintenance of an IT strategy/BI roadmap for the function, aligned to the business strategy of the function, and global IT strategy
For agreed functions / processes:
Understands the information and associated data requirements across all of the different levels of the BAT business (end-markets, areas, regions, global).
Understands the interdependencies within the information relevant to the different levels of the organisation.
Ensures the on-going availability of high integrity, highly trustworthy information in BI
Ensures that all information and associated data has been appropriately reconciled and can be signed off as fit for business use
Takes a lead role in the resolution of information integrity / trust issues identified through reconciliation processes.
Own the information / data part of the Triage agenda and is a key member of the Triage process
Creates and maintain an on-going record of the status (RAG) of information and data quality, linked to the business calendar
Contributes to the preparation of budget proposals and estimated project workloads
May also define an information strategy for , conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level and detailed business models, preparing business cases
Business facing IT experience, including significant experience of data and information rich and complex environment relevant to selected BAT processes and functions
Deep understanding of how relevant source system SAP modules work, especially in the creation, flow and output (extract) of data.
Experience of working in a global, or multi-market, environment, preferably with a degree in an information related discipline.
Ability to interpret the business IT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
Extensive and substantial practical experience of appropriate data reconciliation approaches.
Understand the background, issues and implications of company and functional strategic imperatives
Project management, change management and lifecycle planning skills
