Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Information Risk Management Coordinator - Infrastructure located in Makati, Philippines through March 14, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). 

Position Details: 
The Compliance Management Team within Chevron's Information Risk Strategy & Management (IRSM) organization provides enterprise governance, solutions, and operational oversight to efficiently manage IRM compliance through strong alignment and partnership with business. The IRM Coordinator role for Infrastructure is responsible for deployment and execution of the strategic compliance plan/architecture, operational effectiveness, audit coordination, understanding and coordination of all the relevant corporate and regulatory compliance policies, standards and controls as related to Infrastructure Assets. This position provides the Information Risk Management (IRM) program to IT Infrastructure Groups, Owners, Managers and Team Leads directly and via engagement with the dedicated IRM Analysts for these areas.

Applicants must be self-starters, with strong verbal and written communication skills. An understanding of Information Protection and related policies and standards is important. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provides subject matter expertise and center of excellence support in the following policies which include, amongst

  • others: Information Protection, Data Privacy, Internal Controls (SOX), 3rd Party Access (CITC 432), and IT Concurrence (Policy 564). 
  • Deploys standardized processes, tools and training that facilitate sustained compliance with IRM and related standards and policies.

  • Influences delivery organizations to take the appropriate course of action to address risk and compliance with relevant policies, procedures, laws and regulations, related to Chevron Compliance initiatives.

  • Collaborates and engages with other departments (e.g. Internal Audit, Internal Controls, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for advice, investigation and resolution.

  • Coordinates and facilitates audits (operational, SOX, IP) including inquiry responses, remediation plans and status reporting.

  • Provides Risk Management and Compliance consulting.

  • Performs Risk Assessments and analysis related to IT Infrastructure.

  • Ensures proper compliance reporting and follow-up.

  • Facilitates completion of remediation activities and ensure evergreen processes are implemented.

  • Coordinates scheduled compliance activities and maintain compliance calendar.
  • Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or comparable.

  • 5+ years of Information Risk Management, IT Audit, IT Security or related experience.

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, technology and processes along with the ability to relate them to compliance policies, controls, laws and regulations.

  • Ability to understand and identify compliance issues, challenges, risks and vulnerabilities. 
  • Experience in risk analysis, information protection technologies, and project management with good understanding of Information Protection terms, processes and mitigating controls.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other certifications in the Information Security, Governance, and Risk Management domains highly desirable.
  • Organization Skills-ability to prioritize multiple tasks to consistently meet deadlines. Experience with managing daily/monthly/quarterly duties with on-going projects and communicating the status of assignments. Effectively identifies and utilizes appropriate resources. 
  • Communication Skills (Oral and Written) - Ability to communicate well throughout all levels of the company including senior levels of management. Listens attentively, seeks to understand others viewpoints, and tests for understanding. Clearly, concisely and accurately expresses thoughts in writing. 

    Relocation Options:
