About the Role:

An exciting role has arisen at Burj Al Arab for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main purpose of this position is to oversee the hotel retail boutiques and act as dedicated resource to sell merchandise and make sales through a high level of customer service at all times towards in and out of house guest and colleagues. 

Your key duties will include:

  • Assisting the Retail Manager in all aspects of managing the retail operations in order to maximise profitability and the highest of customer and quality satisfaction.
  • Ensuring efficient staffing levels are set on daily basis in order to cover all aspects and demands of the business.
  • Ensuring that the boutiques and merchandising displays are properly maintained i.e. tidy, clean and stocked in order to meet high level of customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Ensuring the boutiques and merchandising displays are in compliance with policies and procedures in order to run a smooth operation.
  • Being able to set up incentives programs in order to motivate colleagues and increase revenues and profit.
  • Analysing Customer Satisfaction Index reports on a regular basis in order to achieve satisfactory levels of customer service.
  • Tracking cash overages and shortages in order to minimise any discrepancies in the sales and revenue report. Take preventative measures to ensure future discrepancies do not re occur.
  • Conducting corrective coaching and training on a regular basis to team leaders in order to increase knowledge and productivity.
  • Holding daily briefings with the colleagues in order to communicate all important information.
  • Making requisitions or bookings in the ordering system in order to maintain stock levels on a daily basis.


About You:

In order to be considered for this role, you will be a high school or college graduate. A degree or diploma in retail operations is desirable. 

You should have experience of working in a retail environment either in a luxury 5* hotel or in a luxury retail outlet as a Retail Manager.  You will have exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills along with a good eye for detail, innovative ideas in terms of products to stock and a strong awareness of luxury brands and visual merchandising.

You will also be a team player with good administration, communication, time management and organisational skills. Proficiency in computer software systems such as MS Office and Market Boomer is essential as are excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
