About the Role:

An exciting role has arisen for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join Madinat Jumeirah Resort. The main purpose of this position is to assist the Executive Housekeeper and the Assistant Executive Housekeeper in the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department; ensuring maximum Guest satisfaction and adhering to the standards required by the hotel.

Your main duties will include:

  • Responsible for the supervision and coordination of the housekeeping attendants.
  • Conducting inspections of corridors, public areas, back of the house and rooms to ensure proper cleaning.
  • Ensuring correct distribution and control of master keys.
  • Ensuring that all equipments are well maintained and handled correctly.
  • Handling guest complaints in accordance with the customer feedback Stand Operating Procedure. Reporting all complaints to the Executive Housekeeper and/or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensuring the availability of resources to carry out all tasks
  • Ensuring customer requirements are determined & met.
  • Actively promoting an awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
  • Ensuring that all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
  • Assisting in the building of an efficient team of colleagues by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
  • Ensuring that all colleagues provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Supervising colleagues in the department and ensuring the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
  • Conducting colleague evaluations for all housekeeping staff to review their general performance, discuss existing performance and areas of improvements through probationary, bi-monthly and yearly appraisals.


About You:

In order to be considered for this role, you should have a diploma in Hospitality Management and a minimum of three years experience in a junior management role in Housekeeping in a five star hotel. You should be able to lead and motivate people.

It is essential that you have a strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.

You should also have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Opera Property Management System.
