Job Description

A busy FMCG company is looking for a Junior Media Manager with 3-5 years relevant experience to join their team.

Degree in Advertising/Mass Communication (MBA preferable)
Strong Media agency background extensive experience working with media/advertising agencies
3 - 5 years relevant experience

• Develop, prioritize and lead new media and marketing initiatives to achieve the objective of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of media efforts
• Identify and manage media opportunities to drive the business forward
• Align with Marketing Director long range financial objectives and strategic initiatives
• Control of spending vs. plans and maintain stable media ROI
• Implement media research projects in alignment with Marketing Team using global standard and consistent methodologies
• Effectively test media models in markets.
• Ensure that global best practice methodologies and standards are followed in the region and results reported back to the region and Global Media Director according to business priorities.
• Manage and co-ordinate the media planning and buying and liaise and negotiate remuneration with the agencies.
• Support the brand teams in development of effective media campaigns.
• Develop and train the brand teams media skill base.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of media trends
• Analyze competitor media strategies to improve brand(s) campaign effectiveness and competitiveness
• Identify and share media best demonstrated practices and learning within the region and globally
• Track, plan, estimate and monitor regional media budget in conjunction with the Marketing team
• Interpret media research results, contributing to practical action plans following findings
• Educate Finance and Legal on media fundamentals and deals
• Formulate media buy ins, channel deals and contracts with Legal function.
• Update the Global Media Team about the developments in the region on constant basis
• Represent the region in all global media conferences to share and learn
• Ensure regional media reports and spends are integrated within Global Reporting
