Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible to generate maximum profitable revenues and Holiday packages sales for Etihad Holidays through an agreed plan and activity. You will be required to further establish the presence of the Etihad Holidays as a major Leisure brand in the market.


  • To achieve budgeted sales target by representing the principal to the new and existing clients (Travel agencies, commercial houses, companies, event organizers, etc.) within UAE and GCC in order to create additional revenue for Etihad Holidays Services
  • Source and develop new customers in order to promote Etihad Holidays Services product portfolio to increase market penetration and market expansion for achieving the budgeted revenue targets
  • To translate the market potential into concrete business through effective planning focused sales visits and sales presentations as per the defined business strategy
  • Identify methods and evaluate various strategies for promoting Etihad Holidays Services locally to travel agents, corporate houses and (for Groups), through daily sales activities, seasonal sales schemes and other revenue generating schemes
  • Provide key account management through maintaining and developing a strong rapport with current clients through personal visits, telephone calls and correspondence, in order to address any customer dissatisfaction issues and identify any additional revenue potential
  • Monitor the changing market environment and influence business decisions by providing key input to the Management related to product pricing strategy, marketing, and media plan, bearing in mind the competition & availability of substitute to Holidays Products within the market
  • Monitor the market development, trends and competitor activities to influence business decisions by providing key input & appropriate feedback to management so that sales strategy can be revised to counter competitor activity or exploit opportunity
  • Recommend to Sales superintendent and line manager new and innovative products bearing in mind market demands, services being offered by competitors, and recommendations from existing clients based on their feedback of our present product
  • Submit a monthly report related to sales visits and marketing activities to Sales Superintendent and Line Manager which includes the business performance and the market trend, with recommendations for optimisation of revenue and yield


  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or Diploma
  • Must have the ability to listen and demonstrate good command of English both spoken and written
  • Must possess a valid UAE Driving License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales & business bevelopment
  • Experienced in travel and tourism out of which 2 years should have been sales or airline related industry at a supervisory level
  • Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of airline and sales of Holiday packages
  • Able to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Good presentation, influencing / negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of other languages used in the gulf region, preferably Arabic, Hindi and Urdu
