Job Description

 Day to day contractual support to Sales and Proposal teams for assigned projects. 
Review, analyse, prepare and revise contractually required documentation for tenders and sale process, including all legal terms and conditions and ensuring consistency and proper incorporation of commercial and technical schedules. 

Coordinating with other internal departments – Insurance, Intellectual Property, Tax, Engineering, Finance and other Siemens companies (as relevant) to ensure proper analysis of risk and risk mitigation and inclusion of appropriate contractual terms. 

Contract negotiation, supporting/contributing to implementation of the negotiation strategy agreed with Sales/Proposals team, making recommendations for business oriented risk mitigations and alternative solutions, making decisions during negotiations (proactive) within given authority, and drafting adjustments to contract documents. 

Driving limits of authority approval process and other relevant internal processes.

Share best practice processes and lessons learned of negotiated (and won or lost) project contracts with business and legal colleagues, including contributing to contract databases. 

Work with legal colleagues to standardise and improve baseline contractual terms and conditions, model clauses etc 

Contribute to the improvement, adaption and controlling of application of risk management relevant guidelines and processes, including for our region or specific customers. 

Support contractual activities during the execution phase by actively participating in the hand over process. 

Training business partners on contractual awareness, standard contracts and risk management strategies and practices.


Tertiary education (a degree) in Law or other discipline. 
Fully qualified solicitor practising in England and Wales with 1to 6 years post-qualification experience at a multinational company or law firm or proven experience in a contract management role in wind power or other large scale engineering or infrastructure projects with multiple interfaces. 
A desire to work in a fast paced driven business. A flexible attitude and a proven ability to multi-task. A working knowledge of most standard commercial forms of contract. 
A keen interest or experience in developing mentoring skills in order to share skills and experience with legal and non-legal colleagues. 
Be a team player. 
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills 
Ability to deal confidently and build strong relationships with senior business colleagues. 
Ability to build relationships with multi national teams. 
Clear understanding of commercial context. 
Excellent academic record. 
Fluent English
