Job Description

As an experienced Lead Automation Software Engineer, you will ensure that the software is developed according to the processes defined in house, taking inspiration from SCRUM and Microsoft Application Management methodologies. 

Responsible for the complete cycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and testing, you will use solid software engineering principles to design and implement the code, ensuring that established practices are followed.

Validating that the software is designed to be enterprise ready; to perform under high loads and be able to scale to meet growing demands you will ensure that the deliverables are truly completed and meet the quality expectations inherent to the department, including all integration and acceptance testing.  You will be assisting in the maintenance of the continuous integration environment, planning of literation’s and deliverables, identification of risks, and prioritization of deliverables according to the stake holders’ roadmap. Passionate about keeping up with technological trends you will have a desire to assist with selecting new technologies and migration plans.


As an experienced Lead Automation Software Engineer from within the Broadcast Industry, you will bring proven enterprise development experience. With solid software design using enterprise architecture patterns, such as N-Tier, MVC and SOA,  this highly technical position would suit a developer or automation engineer with a background of delivering enterprise ready finished products. You will have experience in developing Web based GUI front-ends along with RDBMS and data access technology knowledge. Your previous work history will include working with test driven development and continuous integration; you will be a fast problem solver with excellent communication and client facing relationship management skills. With the ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation you will naturally be proactive in taking responsibility to resolve and progress situations.

As an expert in your field, you will continually act as a mentor sharing technical knowledge and information to build a cross-functional team, leading by example to promote a positive culture and contribute towards the continual improvement and development of the department. You will be passionate about the latest trends in development technology and design with a desire to work for a fast paced market leader in the industry.

Along with a degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, you will require the below technical skills to be successful in the role:



  • Windows Server 2008 and later
  • C#  (5+ years)
  • SQL Server 20xx and T-SQL
  • LINQ and Entity Framework
  • ASP.NET MVC and JQuery
  • WCF
  • Maintaining a continuous integration environment (preferably via Team Foundation Server)
