Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Team Leader, this is a key role in delivery of the Midstream maintenance performance. The role includes support to operations, performance management of maintenance vendors and technical assurance for maintenance delivery. Cost efficiency & value delivery is a key element of the role. 



Activity Delivery:
Custodian and Midstream owner of common R&M processes and workflows.
Input to work-packs including R&M, projects and TAR activities.
Drive R&M Standardisation across Midstream.
Custodian of Midstream health and performance monitoring systems for their engineering discipline.
Analyse KPI data and drive associated continuous improvements relating to reliability.
Monitor equipment failure data and working closely with the Reliability Engineer implement solutions to improve reliability and availability.
Obsolescence planning and equipment replacements/upgrade strategies.
Participate in annual audits of facilities operations, design and maintenance processes as well as contractors/vendors. 
Participate in developing Maintenance and safety procedures for work performance.
Create a strong relationship with Operations, Activity Planning and Maintenance Execution to ensure optimal execution delivery.
With the Maintenance Planner produce a detailed activity plan for maintenance activities for the applicable Eng. discipline.
Assist, when requested, maintenance planner in obtaining information to build routine task job-plans.
Liaise with maintenance vendors and ensure POs are placed.
Work with PSCM to ensure activity materials are ordered.
Monitor execution and assist from where required.
Review maintenance vendor reports and ensure corrective work-orders are input into Maximo and scheduled accordingly.
Attendance at Planning meetings.
Support Reliability Engineers.

Vendor Performance Management: 
Supplier Performance Management and key contact for maintenance contracts.
Hold monthly meetings and with PSCM drive QPRs.
Assist resolving vendor issues.

Commercial Accountability: 
BRO for discipline specific Maintenance jobs including forecasting and invoice approval for these.
Develop & agree long-term budgets with vendors.

Technical Assurance / Reliability:
Review PMR content for correctness to ensure activity optimisation.
Pro-actively support planner with backlog management.
Dissemination of Best Maintenance Practices throughout Midstream.

Definition of critical spares and ensuring resource controller is aware of any revisions required.
Learn from operations and maintenance experience and share learning’s in pursuit of improvement programme.
Able to undertake operational risk assessments, incident investigation and analysis.
Contribute to development & improvement of maintenance performance measures. 


Essential Education 
HND in engineering discipline. 

Essential experience and job requirements 
Experience in discipline engineering & maintenance.
Maintenance experience.
Competent in reading technical drawings.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work in a multi-discipline team and ability to develop strong working relationships with Contractor(s). 

Desirable criteria & qualifications 
Engineering Degree qualified preferred.
Extensive understanding of petrochemical working environments.
Has knowledge of/and demonstrated project management skills.
Knowledge of design principles and engineering standards, and in particular for UKCS compliance, would be an advantage.
Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Excel, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
A working knowledge of tools used for data analysis.
Knowledge of the Safety Case Verification process, Safety Critical Elements, Written Schemes and Performance
