Job Description

  • Works closely with the leadership team in the business areas to identify key B2B stakeholder groups
  • To develop and deliver, in conjunction with corporate communications colleagues, communication strategies to demonstrate the strength of Visa Europe’s technology, processing  and innovation capabilities
  • Identify and establish the ‘narrative’ for our core business, ensuring that it is aligned to our future of payments story
  • Ensure consistency of messaging
  • Develop and deliver communications plans and deliver against the most appropriate channel mix
  • Contribute to and demonstrate new ways of engaging key audiences  around digital channels and media
  • Advises on implications and risks in communications
  • Coach on and, where appropriate, manage communication on B2B issues related to our core business
  • To agree and implement success criteria for measuring member communications activities
  • Manage and review budget where appropriate



  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of B2B communications experience
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level internally and externally
  • Strong influencing/persuasion skills
  • Planning and strategy development skills
  • Experience of working in a European environment
  • Ability to adapt in an environment of change and ambiguity
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills (plain English)
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  •  Financial skills including budget management experience
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to work within a matrix organisation and to contribute to overall B2B team deliverables 
  • Flexibility to travel generally  – and specifically  to Visa Europe’s Reading and Basingstoke  offices on a regular basis 
  • Languages and knowledge of European markets (specifically those where we process today outside of the UK and Ireland: the Nordics, Poland, Germany, Italy)
  • Technology  PR/communications
  • Some online channel management experience in a corporate/B2B environment
  • Content development experience
